Thanks Andrew! Whether China opens up to foreign investment is an important question. Let’s say it does, though, but insists on strong data localization and government access to personal information that would clearly exceed what companies do in the US and Europe. That’s the deal Google walked away from, and Facebook has probably rejected. If Western companies at some point feel they need to accept the Chinese position, it moves closer to being the global norm, and our policies the exception.
