Lorena A Barba, this was one of my points. I wasn’t happy, and the students weren’t happy. What else could I look at? I know in some universities there are mechanisms like faculty observing others’ classes, but we just have the evals.

My students get grades based on the assessments I give them. We expect them to master the system, even if it’s flawed. It’s no different for me, especially since based on the research, I should have an artificial advantage on the evaluations.
